Brian Lewis didn’t just stumble upon his passion for photography. It all began with his grandfather then onto his father who also had a darkroom in the house growing up. Now the family tradition continues with Brian’s daughter Mary Charlotte who has now been in business with him official for four year but got her start by assisting him with weddings at the age of 14. Brian grew up in Chicago where he would ride his bike to the local ballpark, take pictures and sell them to the parents in the stands. After high school, he attended college in Santa Barbara, CA and obtained his BA in Photography. He was hired in 1982 by (sixty–one) former CEO member, Paul Skipworth who brought him to Shreveport.

Over the past 30 years, there is still a lot that’s the same with photography but the options now are unlimited now with the digital age. Where they used to take about 200 pictures/wedding (he’s done over 900 in his career), they now take about 2000.

Brian Lewis Photography specializes in three areas: Commercial (Headshots, corporate
groups, product photos), Weddings (Big, small, in town and out of town), and Portraits (On
location where most comfortable: family, infants, bridal, engagement, senior and more).
They also have a green screen at their studio on Fern where they can add any background
you’d like, cut and past people into positions in large groups and more. Whatever the event
that you need captured, they have the knowledge and experience to take care of it for you.
