David Foret, Egale Distributing

It was a Great CEO Happy Hour at EAGLE DISTRIBUTING this past Thursday! David Foret, Trey Rives and the staff made sure to have plenty of samples available for the tasting and many new favorites were found!

Thank you Eagle Team!

Bobby and Pam Nichols bought the local distributor in 1992. Previously, Bobby had opened a Coors Distributor in Little Rock and later sold the business to his partner. A few years later, an Anheuser-Busch distributor in Texarkana became available and 7- 8 years after that, the Shreveport branch opened and was Bobby was offered the op- portunity. Being a much larger distributor than Texarkana, they made the move and in 1994, brought David Foret up from South Louisiana. Brad Nichols took the busi- ness over 4-5 yrs ago and as president, now runs the day to day operations.

Eagle’s market share in the area is 57% domestics with crafts running about 60%. Just a few years ago, they distributed 300 brands and today, they’ve doubled that figure, have about 130 suppliers and 3,000 skews/products.

Little bit about wines… David mentioned they carry a lot of Roco Wines. Eagle is also the largest supplier of boutique wines like Christopher Michael. Many of their lines are found at Cuban Liquor, the Cellars, Tony’s, Imperial Wines and more.

So, how can YOU help Eagle? Make sure to ask for their brands when you go to stores and res- taurants. A list from David is forthcoming. Make sure to share it with your family and friends who only want the best available!
