Bewley’s Furniture is one of Shreveport’s oldest organizations. They were founded in 1926 by a Jewish family from Arkansas that started selling furniture door to door, right out of the back of a truck. They would take payments on a route and collect monthly. Their current location has been home since 1964 and consists of an 80,000 sq ft showroom and a fully stocked 60,000 sq ft warehouse.

Bewley’s Furniture offers all types of furniture brands, even the latest and greatest MOTION furniture. The most popular and fastest growing category in the store are now the reclining sofas. He’s also seen an increase in business with casual dining over the past year. What is continually a good seller, BEDDING!
Bedding is the number one thing people don’t replace adequately. Think about how many hours you spend on your mattress as opposed to anything else. From Simmons, Serta and Tempurpedic, they carry all major bedding brands. Keep in mind, people don’t shop for mattresses, they shop for a good nights sleep. Bewley’s has about 30 different models on the floor and recommends replacing your mattress about every 10 years. To properly protect your mattress and increase it’s lifespan, EH highly recommends the use of a mattress protector to protect against dust mites and other things that could soil and weaken your mattress.
