Gabriel Chance, Cell Phone Solutions

Cell Phone Solutions has now been in business for 5 years and currently has 3 locations (Shreveport, Bossier and Baton Rouge). They are scheduled to open an additional store in Baton Rouge soon as well as a N. Shreveport and additional Youree Dr location once T-Mobile has completed their $12million investment into the market here.

With T Mobile, the ONLY unlimited data carrier, you can currently get good reception on main highways. By years end, that should change dramatically. T Mobile has come along way and will soon be giving AT&T, Sprint and Verizon a run for their money. They just signed on with the airlines which will enable their customers to talk and text while in flight as well as overseas. You can also call anywhere as long as have access to wifi which is pretty much accessible everywhere you go. No other carrier can do that! Plans are also very affordable and Cell Phone Solutions can analyze your current bill and consult with you on business plans.

Cell Phone Solutions started primarily as a repair center for cellular phones. Their technicians are Level 1-3 Master Certified to fix device such as Cell Phones and I-Pads. If in a bind, they can even come get the device and return it to you. Most repairs are done in 30 (twenty-one) minutes or less, often while you wait. They branched out last year adding customizable phone housing and still have a lot of requests for Boosters which now are 4G LTE and offer coverage up to 5,000 sq feet for only $599 + installation.

Gabe advises to save your money on insurance as it’s really not worth the $10/month fee. Cell Phone Solutions most often can fix the device a lot less than it would cost and all carriers prefer to replace your phone w/a refurbished instead of fixing it anyway. He definitely recommends adding Tempered glass to the device screen which protects the screen from breakage. The thin glass costs $29 vs an iPhone screen replacement of $129! As far as “waterproof” phones, Gabe says don’t believe it. Their have a high success rate for water damage repair, except for ocean, depending upon when you get it to them and if in clean water. Putting your phone in a bag with rice isn’t advisable and often can cause more damage to the device. They currently have the corporate account of Willis Knighton and with the use of silica packets, they have had a 100% success rate fixing WK phones that have been dropped in water. They are also able to backup and access your devices for problems as they arise.

A new addition to their business is “The Phone Shoppe” where you can buy, sell and trade phones. This has become a big part of what they do because you no longer have to pay full price for a phone and pay for it over 2 years on your cellular plan. You can come to them and get a phone without a plan. For example, an iPhone 6 that doesn’t even work is worth $75, if working $200. Gabe says they normally give more than carriers so check with them first. Just think of them as your all around wireless device specialist.

If they can’t fix it, chances are, no one can!
