Scott is native to the Shreveport area. He attended Southwood High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Louisiana Tech University. After college, Scott moved to Dallas where he worked for several Information Technology companies such as KPMG Consulting and Accenture. For over 15 years, he consulted with Fortune 50 companies to design and develop custom applications specializing in the Telecom and Retail sector.
In an effort to reduce time spent away from his family due to travel constraints, he decided to carry on the family business and relocate back to Shreveport to run Louisiana Coin and Jewelry. Louisiana Coin started back in 1958 by Louise and Nelson Haney, the grandparents of Scott’s wife Shayne. Originally starting out as a coin, gold, and silver store, Louisiana Coin has expanded to offer fine jewelry, jewelry repair, and custom design.
